We’ve still got work to do! When the Gill Foundation indicated they wanted a fun holiday card, we were fixated on something to do with supporting LGBT philanthropy. But Tim Gill and his communications guru Fred Sainz stuck to their guns, saying they wanting something energetic, more like jib-jab.

Hoppity Hop A huge congrats to Boulder’s Mountain Sun and especially to head brewer Brian Hutchinson, who was crowned “Alpha King” last Friday in Denver. His “Hop Vivant” Imperial IPA took first place in the 2009 Alpha King challenge — recognizing the best “hoppy” beer in America.

Tendrilpalooza ‘09

Tendrilpalooza ‘09 For their once-a-year funfest, smart grid energy management company (and Vermilion client) Tendril divided into four teams for what must have been the ultimate scavenger hunt. The morning tasks included taking photos of a team member jumping in a pool with clothes on, 3 team members in a port-o-potty, and 5 people inside a phone booth.

Team Vermilion takes the field Sports teams are not exactly what makes Vermilion tick. In fact, we’re more solo oriented. One of our crew can ride to Crested Butte and back. Many board or ski. Singles tennis is about the most social we get. Well, one person refs roller derby events, if that counts. So it was a bit of a stretch to field a kickball team for Ad2Denver’s third annual kickball tourney.
