About

We’re making a difference for clients who make a difference — from natural foods to foundations, from social change to education and local government, too.

We’re passionate about design that informs, clarifies, persuades, and communicates the possibilities of working together for positive change. When bringing on new clients and new employees, Vermilion places a premium on meaningful relationships, curiosity, and crafting remarkable, effective work that nurtures community karma.

Our offices run on 100% windpower — it’s just one more way for us to lessen our footprint on the environment.

For 35 years, Vermilion has provided distinctive and effective solutions to a wide range of clients, with a particular emphasis on work for nonprofit, educational, scientific, and civic organizations and progressive consumer brands. Ever since its inception, Vermilion has been deeply connected to Boulder, a place that values smart growth, green transit, recycling, and a cleaner environment. We’ve worked for many of the city’s businesses — especially within the world of natural products and sustainability. And we’re deeply involved with the nonprofit community, volunteering, serving on boards, and providing pro bono or reduced-rate services to many local causes.
