Solutions Can't Wait

for Eco-Cycle Solutions

Back in 1976, a group of volunteers in Boulder started collecting newspaper and aluminum cans for recycling. That grassroots campaign grew into Eco-Cycle, now one of the largest nonprofit recycling and zero-waste organizations in the United States. But many communities are at different stages of progress — from ‘square one’ to long-standing sustainability programs. Eco-Cycle Solutions is an effort to channel the collective resources, knowledge, and insights from advanced communities and make it available to teams that are just getting started, and everything in-between.

Taking Action

Eco-Cycle asked Vermilion to create the new identity and digital presence using powerful messaging and imagery to connect and inspire citizens, government entities, and businesses to join the effort. An interactive map allows users to see similar communities that have already adopted sustainable efforts and informs others of best practices to leverage in their own communities.
